MalatestaShort Film Festival

​MalatestaShort est un festival international de courts-métrages de cinéma qui se tient à Cesena - Italy. Il présente une sélection d'œuvres provenant du monde entier, avec quatre catégories de compétition :

Best Fiction * Best Animation * Best Documentary * Best Experimental

Le programme du festival, qui se tient au "Cinema Eliseo Multisala", est enrichi par des rencontres et des manifestations parallèles.

Le projet trouve son origine dans l'idée initiale d'un cercle d'amis qui partagent une passion pour le cinéma et pour sa forme la plus essentielle, le court-métrage. L'objectif est de promouvoir la culture cinématographique et en particulier le cinéma court, en tant qu’outil polyvalent qui permet à des nouveaux talents de s'exprimer et de se faire un nom.

  • MalatestaShort Film Festival invited producers and filmmakers to submit their films to its 4st edition that will be taking place from 22th August to 30th August 2020 in Cesena - Italy. The winner of this edition are:

    • Best Animation: "Udahnut zivot" by Ivana Bosniak and Thomas Johnson, Croatia
    • Best Fiction: "Nefta Football Club" by Yves Plat, France
    • Best Documentary: "Ferroada" by Adriana Barbosa and Bruno Mello Castanho, Brazil
    • Best Experimental: "Con te o senza di te" by Angela Prudenzi, Italy
  • MalatestaShort Film Festival invited producers and filmmakers to submit their films to its 3st edition that will be taking place from 25th March to 27th March 2019 in Cesena - Italy. The winner of this edition are:

    • Best Animation: "MASCARPONE" by Jonas Riemer, Germany
    • Best Fiction: "WAVE" by Benjamin Cleary & TJ O’Grady Peyton, Ireland
    • Best Documentary: "TOO-TASH" by Dariusz Sipowski, Poland
    • Best Experimental: "The Divine Way" by Ilaria Di Carlo, Germany
  • MalatestaShort Film Festival invited producers and filmmakers to submit their films to its 2st edition that will be taking place from 12th March to 14th March 2018 in Cesena - Italy. The winner of this edition are:

    • Best Animation: My Grandfather was a cherry tree - Olga & Tatiana Poliektova - Russian Federation
    • Best Fiction: CUBEMAN - Linda Dombrovszky - Hungary
    • Best Documentary: Ninnoc - Niki Padidar - Netherlands
    • Best Experimental: CLOUD KUMO - Yvonne Ng - United States
  • MalatestaShort Film Festival invited producers and filmmakers to submit their films to its 1st edition that will be taking place from 13th March to 15th March 2017 in Cesena - Italy. The winner of this edition are:

    • Best Animation: Arkhe - Batuhan Köksal - Turkey
    • Best Fiction: AKITA - John Hickman - Alastair Cummings - United Kingdom
    • Best Documentary: My Deadly Beautiful City - Victoria Fioravante - United Kingdom
  • The short films in competition are divided into the following categories:

    • Best Fiction
    • Best Animation
    • Best Experimental
    • Best Documentary
    The winner of each category will receive an award.
